Karen D. Hendrix's Obituary
Karen D. Hendrix, age 82, of Fayetteville passed away Thursday April 16, 2026. She was born April 7, 1944 in Beatrice, Nebraska to Dan and Ruby Speers Lairmore. She is a member of Cornerstone Church of Christ in Fayetteville where she served on the praise team. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Larry Hendrix. She is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the American Legion Auxiliary. She grew up in Mountainburg and graduated from high school there in 1962. She married Larry Hendrix in September 1962. She worked for the University of Arkansas as an administrative assistant in the Engineering Department. She enjoyed doing genealogy.
She is survived by her son, Terry Hendrix and his wife Janice Porter of Cedar Hill, Texas and her sister, Connie Drummond and her husband Dewey of Winslow, Arkansas.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Wednesday April 22, 2026 at Moore’s Chapel. Funeral service will be 10:00 am Thursday at Moore’s Chapel with burial to follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
