Kathy L. Riggle's Obituary
Kathy L. Riggle, 56, passed away in her Fayetteville, Arkansas home on March 24, 2026. She was born March 30, 1969 in Shawnee Mission, Kansas to Dennis Riggle Sr. and Carolyn Reed. She was a graduate of Rogers High School in 1987 and earned a degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She took a position in the David W. Mullin’s library after her college graduation and worked there for her entire career. She was an HR Partner for the Mullin’s library at the time of her death. Her coworkers were very special to her and she developed many lifelong friends from those working relationships.
Kathy is survived by her sister Barbara (Lon) Leggitt of Fayetteville, AR; Carol (Bill) Oldridge of Sherwood, AR, a brother Bobby (CeCe) Riggle of Avoca, AR, and sister in-law Kathleen Kennedy Riggle of Redondo Beach, CA; 10 nieces and nephews Christy Hawk, Mary Bullen, Jessica Starkey, Lauren Keller, Megan Riggle, Matthew Riggle, Josh Oldridge, Tyler Sims, Amy Haley, and Jerrold Haley; and 11 great nieces and nephews: Evon, Connor, Nani, Gavin, Brooklyn, Wyatt, Alyssa, Zach, and Albrey, Olivia, and Zoey. She leaves behind many other friends, family and coworkers that she loved and that loved her back including her best friend, Marian Hendrickson, of Fayetteville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Dennis Riggle Jr. and a nephew, John Riggle.
Kathy had a funny sense of humor and loved to laugh and make others laugh. She was a humble and private person with most people and had a strong desire and compassion for helping others.
There will be a celebration of her life at 2:00pm on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Moore’s Chapel Funeral Home in Fayetteville Arkansas followed by a private family disposition of her ashes.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorials to be made in her name to the University of Arkansas David W. Mullin’s Library.
