Kay Anna Deaton's Obituary
Kay Anna Deaton, beloved mother and friend, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2024, in Bentonville, Arkansas, at the age of 85. She was born on January 1, 1939, in Stearns, Kentucky, to the late James Earl and Pauline Privett. Kay was a graduate of Stearns High School and attended Union College in Barbourville Kentucky where she earned an A.B, degree in Accounting in 1960.
After college Kay worked for the Social Security Administration before later retiring from Falk Plumbing Supply Company in Hot Springs, Arkansas where she was Office Manager.
Kay was a cherished member of First Baptist Church of Bentonville, where she found joy and fellowship in her Sunday School class. Known for her warmth and kindness, she enjoyed volunteer work, was an avid reader who loved attending book club, an enthusiastic traveler and a spirited card player, always bringing laughter and fun to gatherings with family and friends.
Kay was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Denny Allen Deaton, as well as by her brother, James Earl Privett, Jr. and sister, Priscilla Faye Hill. She is survived by her loving daughter, Denise Deaton Wilson, of Bentonville, Arkansas, who will deeply miss her mother’s friendship, warmth and love.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Rogers, Arkansas, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Benton County Memorial Park under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.
Donations to First Baptist Church Bentonville and Rogers Public Library may be made in lieu of flowers.
