Keith Royce Allen's Obituary
Keith Royce Allen, 82 of Springdale, AR passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011 in Fayetteville, AR. He was born August 22, 1928 in Sandstone Township, MI to Hubert Asher Allen and Alma (King) Allen.
He was a retired Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force having service during the Japanese Occupation after World War II, the Korean War and the Viet Nam War. He was a radio operator during the Berlin Airlift. After his retirement in Cheyenne, WY, he was employed by Ideal Aerosmith and 3M. He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Cheyenne, WY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife of over 61 years, Jeannie Allen, one daughter; Nadine DiBacco and husband Jay of Omaha, NE, one son; Keith Allen, Jr. and wife Karmen of Johnson, AR, two sisters; Joyce Sayers of Albion, MI, and Linda Asbury of Cheyenne, WY, one brother; Jerry Allen of Parma, MI, and two grandchildren; Bailey and Maya Allen of Johnson, AR.
Keith, with Jeanne at his side, was an avid golfer, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved to travel, living in and visiting many places throughout the U.S. and around the world. He was an Eagle Scout and Silver Beaver with the Boy Scouts of America.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 11, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
Funeral services with Military Honors will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, March 12, 2011 in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.
Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Boys Scouts of America, Longs Peak Council, PO Box 1166. Greeley, CO 80632. Please note that the donation is in the name of Keith Allen.
