Kenneth Curtis Keeney's Obituary
Kenneth Curtis Keeney of Springdale passed away at Circle of Life Hospice House in Springdale on October 9th, 2012. He was born June 21, 1919 in Elkins, Arkansas to Walter and Annie Mae Duncan Keeney. He was a member of the Robinson Avenue Church of Christ in Springdale. He served in the Army during World War II from 1942 to 1946. His service included Oahu, Hawaii, Okinawa, Japan and the Marshall Islands. During his life, he drilled wells with his father and brother. He then worked at VA Hospital retiring after thirty years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Ferguson Keeney, his parents and his brother, Thurman Keeney.
He is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Kilpatrick and her husband, Tom, of Springdale; and Judy Kilpatrick and her husband, Ben, of Springdale; a sister, Virginia Salsbury of Elkins; six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville, Arkansas with Harry Fitzgerald officiating.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, October 12, 2012 at Moore’s Chapel, Fayetteville.
