Kenneth "Dale" Carroll's Obituary
Kenneth “Dale” Carroll, age 87, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away on April 2, 2026, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born on November 15, 1938, in Rock Springs, Texas, to J.M. Carroll and Margaret Lerlin (Hunt) Carroll. Dale married Darlene Bowen on May 20, 1982, in Chowchilla, California. He worked as a horse trainer and was a professional cowboy. Dale’s passion in life was being a cowboy, winning ten state titles in California and was the Senior National Calf Roping Champion in 2005.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jami Carroll; granddaughter, Amare Larrucea; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Hurst.
Dale is survived by his wife, Darlene Carroll; children, Julie Jo Elliott and husband Chris of Windsor, Colorado, Rebecca Ross and husband Daniel of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Creed Larrucea and wife Shana of Sacramento, California; six grandchildren, Logan Sanderson, Sammy Jo Rasath, Chase Elliott, Jacob Ross, Abigail Ross, and Kai Larrucea; sisters, Nita Hurst and Ina Ruth Carroll; two nieces, Jodi Abarca and Kelly Apley, and nephew, Lee Carroll.
