Kenneth Loren Vaughan's Obituary
Kenneth Loren Vaughan, 83, of Bethal Heights went to rest with our Lord in heaven on Saturday, February 22, 2025, while at home surrounded by his loving family. Kenneth was born on October 29, 1941, in Prairie Grove, to the proud parents Loren Estes and Grace Pearl Vaughan of Madison County.
Kenneth was raised in Prairie Grove/Fayetteville area. He worked in his father's grocery store delivering groceries to local customers. Later, after finishing high school, Kenneth worked for the University Dairy. Kenneth, also, worked and owned a Quickie Mart, followed by a stint with Cottage Club Dairy which was later purchased by Highland Dairy for whom he worked for 30 plus years, retiring in around 1993.
Kenneth enjoyed the outdoors: fishing, camping, coaching baseball and watching football. His hobbies included auctions, yard sales, and collecting antique glassware. His favorite outdoor activity was watching his children and grandchildren playing sports. Kenneth was also a member of the Pathway Baptist Church of Fayetteville. He was very active in church activities.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Ronda Sue Vaughan (just shy of 36 years of marriage). Kenneth had five children of his own: son Kenneth James Vaughan of Springdale, daughter Sharon Lea Carter of Northwest Arkansas area, and son Steven Wayne Vaughan (Sharon Jean) of Fayetteville, son Jeremy Jacob Kyle Vaughan (Leigh) of Lowell and daughter Jessica Rachael (Vaughan) Jones (Charles) of Fayetteville. Kenneth also had three stepsons Randy Ly Soeung (Allison) of Fayetteville, Chris Crisna Soeung (Nina) of U.S. Army stationed in Korea, and Erik Rasmey Soeung (Krystal) of Elkins. He is the proud grandfather of 18 grandchildren (plus one to be born in April) and 17 great-grandchildren, as well as his faithful and beloved dog "Little Bear".
Visitation will be held at Nelson Berna Funeral Home on Crossover in Fayetteville from 5 to 7 PM, Friday February 28, 2025. The funeral will be held at 11:30 Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Pathway Baptist Church on Mount Comfort Road in Fayetteville followed by the burial at Fairview Memorial Cemetery on East Mission at Fayetteville.
