Kimberly Lynne Bradley's Obituary
Kimberly Lynne Bradley, age 67, of Springdale, AR, died Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at the Willard Walker Hospice Home. She was born September 4, 1957, in Augsburg, Germany. Her parents, Don B. Mitchell and Virginia Anderson Mitchell preceded her in death. A 38-year resident of Russellville, AR, Kim moved to Springdale in 2010.
Survivors are her husband, Dr. Stanley Bradley; three daughters, Rachel Clark (Forrest) of Austin, TX, Rebecca Bradley (Aaron Harris) of Fayetteville, AR, Ruth Bradley (Preston Weyland) of Washington, DC; two sisters, Kelly Walter (Steve), Kristi Kennedy (Tom); a brother, Denton Mitchell (Christine); four grandchildren, Walter Clark, Woodrow Clark, Olive Harris, and Margot Harris; her mother-and-father-in-law, Joe and Ima Jo Bradley and their children; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Despite battling cancer for more than 15 years, Kim refused to let it define her. She dedicated her life to her family, friends, and community.
Kim married her high school sweetheart, Stan, and together they built a life filled with love over 48 wonderful years. As a mother to three cherished daughters, she instilled in them the values of kindness, inclusion, independence, and community service. After attending Arkansas Tech University, she graduated from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences with a degree in medical technology. However, it was her entrepreneurial spirit that led her to co-own Three’s Company, a beloved home, apparel, and gift store in Russellville, AR, alongside her sister Kristi Kennedy and dear friend Sherri Harrison.
A lifelong lover of music, Kim played multiple instruments including the guitar, mandolin, piano, and fiddle, bringing joy to all who heard her perform. Folk music sparked her interest in music at an early age. She went on to earn a spot in the all-state choir and later shared her gifts with her church choir and as a member of the bluegrass band Pat Hall and the Perfect Strangers.
Kim’s community involvement was extensive. She was a lifelong Methodist and member of the First United Methodist Church in Springdale. Over the course of her life, she was a proud member of organizations like the Girl Scouts, Junior Auxiliary, PEO, school PTA, and United Women in Faith. She lent her voice and talents to community theatre, participated in her book club, and found camaraderie on the tennis courts at Summerhill Raquet Club in Fayetteville.
An adventurer at heart, Kim embraced life with enthusiasm. She celebrated her 60th birthday by cycling 60 miles, a testament to her determination and zest for life. She loved hiking, gardening, traveling, playing bridge, and spending time at Greer’s Ferry Lake or any number of creeks and rivers across Arkansas. Her beloved corgi, Doris, was her constant companion, whether they were exploring the dog park or enjoying a walk on the Razorback Greenway. Kim also delighted in discovering new breweries, hunting for treasures in thrift and antique stores, and decorating her home and those of friends and family.
Kim’s legacy is one of perseverance, creativity, and love. She leaves behind a family who adored her, friends who admired her, and a community forever enriched by her presence.
