Larice "Larry" Lavon Coulter's Obituary
Larice Lavon Coulter (Larry), 82, of Bentonville, Arkansas, went to see Jesus face to face on February 10, 2025. He was born October 11, 1942, to Ellis and Elma Coulter of Hamburg, Arkansas.
He graduated with degrees in police science and administration. His time of service began February 10, 1965 in the USAF and continued in law enforcement in California for 30 years. Larry retired and began a new career as Director of Operations for Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado.
On December 17, 1967, he married Gail Callaway and they were very blessed to have 57 years of marriage. They lived in multiple states including California, Oregon, Colorado, Idaho, Washington, and Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Bob, Edna, Randy, and Ellis Coulter.
Remaining to cherish him, his wife Gail, his son Matthew and Steven (Cayla), five grandchildren, sisters Faye Carpenter and Patsy Carpenter, brother Troy Coulter, and nieces and nephews.
On February 28 at 10:30 am, Larry will be interred with military honors at the Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas. A gathering of family and friends will follow at Decatur Assembly of God Church at 674 N. Main St, Decatur, Arkansas 72722 at 1 pm. All are welcome to join us with a time to pay tribute to a remarkable husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, who provided love and security to his country, community, and family.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berna of Rogers, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.
