Larry Neal Borum's Obituary
Larry Neal Borum, age 78, of Fayetteville, died on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, in Fayetteville. He was born November 3, 1945, in Springdale, Arkansas, to John Edward and Myrtle Mae (Wolfe) Borum. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Shawn Slaney.
Larry served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1969 during the Vietnam war. He served active duty overseas in Vietnam, receiving many medals and commendations. He was proud of his service and loved visiting with other military veterans. He always wore his Vietnam Veteran hat to make conversation with other veterans. He made friends easily and had lots of friends. Larry was also a member of the Inside Out Church in Fayetteville.
Larry is survived by his wife of 30 years, Beverly Borum of Fayetteville; daughters Adrienne Borum and Angela Borum; step-sons Shane Cate, Jason Cate, and Benjamin (Sarah) Cate; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 3 half siblings; and many other family members, friends, and loved ones.
A Memorial Service will take place at the Inside Out Church at 7500 W. Wedington in Fayetteville on Saturday, January 13th, 2024, at 10:00AM. Larry will be interred at the Fayetteville National Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.
