Larry Brannon's Obituary
Larry Brannon, 76, of Elkins, passed away Tuesday, February 4th, 2025, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born February 8, 1948, in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Dick Elmer and Lena Florence (Baker) Brannon. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 21 years Mary (Howerton) Brannon; two sisters Dixie Rothenburger and Daisy Dockery.
Larry is survived by his son Michael Brannon & Cassia of Siloam Springs, daughter Devona Patrick & Kent of Fayetteville, and son Kevin Brannon of Elkins; two sisters, Doris Davis and Carol Wood; as well as five grandkids and five great grandkids.
Larry was a member of Harris Baptist Church for fifteen years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, riding his bicycle with his best friend Sammy Bivens, and eating lunch and playing games at the Elkins Senior Center. He also loved to go camping at Mill Creek. He was employed as a rate clerk for twenty five years for Jones Truck Line. He served in the Arkansas National Guard for six years. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
A visitation will take place on Friday, February 7th, at Harris Baptist Church from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be Saturday, February 8th, at Harris Baptist Church at 10:00 AM, with burial to follow at Brannon Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
