I loved my Uncle Larry and wish I had more time with him through the years like when we were younger. He was kind, honest and teased us in ways we cherished. Larry worked at the family business he ending up owning/running prior to working in sales. We got to see him daily during our summers in Smithfield. He called me Christi Lynn and never left off the middle name. I know he loved his five little nieces. We could all feel it growing up and have been texting our memories and grief to one another. This is a picture of me and Lori with him. I wish I could find one with him and all 5 of us. My love and prayers to Jan, Matthew and Meredith. So very sorry for your loss.

Uncle Larry was always kind and had a gentle spirit. I was a spirited difficult child and he never got on to me or made me feel unloved. My prayers go out to Jan, Matthew and Meredith.

I have many fond memories of Uncle Larry from being a little girl to when I moved to Joplin as an adult, but my favorite is he always called me Lori Ann. No one but him ever called me that. I can hear it as clear as if he were saying to me now. As a little girl spending summers at Grandma Esther’s he had the pallet company and he would make us stilts. He started us on short ones and as we got better he made us taller ones that required us getting on the back of one of the flatbed trucks to get onto our stilts.
