Larry Phillip Ross Irvin's Obituary
Larry Phillip Ross Irvin, age 57, of Harrison, AR passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026. He was born January 25, 1969, at the 98th General Hospital in Neubrucke, Germany to Dale and Alma Irvin. He was a loving and dedicated father to his children Michael and Mikayla, and to his family and many friends.
Larry lived at a young age in Missouri, Texas, and Georgia before settling in on the family farm in Winslow, Arkansas in 1976. He attended school in West Fork, Arkansas and graduated high school in 1987. He was an active member of the Sycamore 4-H Club and Boy Scouts. His interests reflected his passion for the outdoors, which included spending time hunting and fishing with his father, and when younger, playing war games in the woods with his friends and his brother, Eric.
He attended Northwest Arkansas Technical College where he studied IT. He would go on to work in IT at the Apple Store in Fayetteville, the University of Arkansas Computer Store, and Cherokee Industries in Stilwell, Oklahoma.
Larry had many interests in his life, which included his family and having some crazy camping and hiking adventures with Michael and Mikayla. He truly loved camping, hiking, history (particularly World War II), exploring tiny house living, and learning about DIY projects. His interests culminated in his dream to build and live in a tiny house out in the woods, which he did in Alpena, Arkansas.
He was truly a kind mind who had many dreams yet to fulfill. We want to thank the amazing doctors, nurses, chaplains, and staff at Washington Regional Coronary Care Unit who worked with such care and compassion to try to enable him to continue those dreams. We specifically want to thank Dr. James, Dr. Burger, Dr. Chism, Dr. Yang, and Dr. Ahmed and nurses Cheyenne, Liesel, and Melody for their care.
He is preceded in death by his father Otis Dale Irvin.
Survivors are his children Michael Irvin (Jessica Soto) of Monte Vista, Colorado , Mikayla Irvin of Rogers, Arkansas; his mother, Alma Irvin of Harrison, Arkansas ; a brother, Eric Irvin of Auburn, Washington, grandchildren Alyssia , Joshua and Tahlya Soto of Monte Vista, Colorado; an uncle, Phillip Steele of Waverly, New York, and numerous cousins, friends, and acquaintances.
