Laurel Joan Lingle's Obituary
Laurel Joan Lingle, age 90, of Centerton, AR, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024. Born on January 11, 1934, in Flagstaff, AZ, Laurel was the daughter of Richard Clarno and Lucile Bonnell Clarno. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Jack Kent Lingle, SR.
Laurel proudly served as a U.S. W.A.F. veteran stationed in Germany, where her passion for the military blossomed. She and Jack, her husband, met at an Arthur Murray Dance Studio, bonding over their love for ballroom dancing. After her military service, Laurel dedicated herself to being a devoted homemaker, caring deeply for her family. Her professional journey led her to retire as an administrator from the Office of Personnel Management.
She is survived by her children, Zettie McAllister, Jack Kent Lingle, Jr., Aaron Jay Lingle, as well as three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Laurel's final resting place will be at Fayetteville National Cemetery, with cremation arrangements handled by Nelson Berna Funeral Home.
In loving memory, Laurel will be remembered for her commitment to family, her military service, and the joy she found in ballroom dancing. May she rest in peace.
