Laverne Stallings' Obituary
Laverne Stallings, age 90, of Carthage, Missouri, died on November 30, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Carthage. She was born on July 10, 1931, in Maypearl, Texas to Otis Stanley and Hazel (Washington) Stanley. Laverne married James Marion Stallings in Fort Stockton, Texas on June 22, 1951. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Stallings and her parents, Otis and Hazel Stanley.
She is survived by four daughters, Barbara Lowery of Mobile, Alabama, Linda Owens and husband Robert of Neosho, Missouri, Sandra Taylor of Vancleave, Mississippi, and Virginia Leonard and husband Louis of Neosho; step daughter, Gabriele Wetzler of Schotten, Germany; sister, Nelda Blanchard of Rosepine, Louisiana; three brothers, Kenneth Stanley of Denton, Texas, George Stanley of Denton, Texas, and Daniel Stanley of Grand Prairie, Texas; thirteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m., Friday, December 3, 2021, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
