Lawrie Hennigan, born January 1, 1935, passed away peacefully on the morning of January 13, 2026. the daughter of the late Lowrie Cazes and Hilda Barillier. She was born and grew up in Baton Rouge, LA, the daughter of the late Lowrie Cazes and Hilda Barillier. She was preceded in death by her siblings, William (Buzz) Barillier, Jackie Bailes, Kay Barillier, and Caroline Griffith, She was a kind and sensitive soul, a gifted artist. Her seafood gumbo and crawfish bisque were better than most will have ever tasted. Caring deeply for those on this earth who suffer, the marginalized and rejected, she fought throughout her life for social justice. She was a lover of Gibran, Krishnamurti and Jesus. Her most cherished memories were of her time living on her farm in Louisiana, where she loved to plant herself with stillness among our herd of cattle until they came to accept her as the gentle human that she was, allowing her to become part of their “herd”. Her love and her values were a profound influence on her two sons, Chuck and Steve Hennigan. In her later life, she cared for those who were home bound. She was loved by all who knew her.
