Biography
Lawton Lenn Threet, age 86, of Fayetteville, died Friday, July 27, 2012 in Fayetteville.
He was a member of Sang Avenue Baptist church, and he loved gardening.
He was born December 22, 1925 in Sheridan, Arkansas, the son of Armo and Beatrice Sweeney Threet. He worked many years at Northwest Oil, as a accountant, was a graduate of the University of Arkansas and was a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Threet of the home; one daughter, Carolyn Brooks of Van Buren, AR; a son, Johnny Presley of Wesley, AR; two step-daughters Mary Beth Canfield of West Fork, AR and Teresa Seely of Winslow, AR one sister, Carolyn Pate of Lawton, OK; a brother, Monroe Threet of Coos Bay, OR; one grandson, Chad Brooks; two great grand children, River Brooks, and Taylor Brooks; and two brother-in-laws Alvin Herrington of Jacksonville, AR and Bobby Herrington of Springdale, AR.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 3 at Moore’s Chapel, with interment at Fairview Memorial Gardens under the direction of Moore’s Chapel. Officiating will be Dr. T.O. Spicer.
