Oh my goodness!!! Where shall I begin? Let me just begin by saying that I am one proud niece to this great man I called, “Uncle Tommy.” As I entered this world in Springdale hospital, my Uncle Tommy was there as the nurse brought me into the nursery. So…let’s say that he has been in my life my entire life…just shy of 56 years. He was and always has been such a gentle, kind, and loving person. Heaven sure received a special gift when he got there. I know of some very special people who were waiting happily for his arrival. My Uncle Tommy was my own version of Andy Griffith. They were like two peas in a pod with their patience, understanding, and cheerful personalities. Well…it breaks my heart to know he is gone from this earth, but my heart is filled with joy knowing I will see him again when it is my time. When I was young and visiting with my precious Grandma Eldredge, Uncle Tommy would always stop by and it was always important for him to have me read the Bible to him. I just thought he liked hearing me read, but now that I ponder over it, he wanted to hear the word of God…embrace himself with it and knew I needed it as well. Uncle Tommy has been in my life forever!!! Now, even though life will eventually go on, I sure am going to feel yet another emptiness in my life until I see him again. I just know that when he got to Heaven, my Aunt Jewel, my grandma, my sister, and my dad, and many many more loved ones were there to welcome him with open arms. We all have our special loved ones waiting for us. Until we see each other again, Uncle Tommy, have that cup or pot of coffee and enjoy catching up on the wonderful memories of those good old days. Love you forever, Uncle Tommy! Your niece, Vickie Lou Eldredge Kennemer
