Lela Gabbard's Obituary
Lela Gabbard, age 95, of Elkins, died Monday, January 20, 2020 in Springdale. She was born May 13, 1924 in Delaney, Arkansas, the daughter of George and Nannie Ratliff Massie. She was preceded in death by her husband Haskell Gabbard; a daughter Doris Karlin and a son Gary Gabbard.
She was a homemaker and lived a Christian life for many years.
She is survived by a son Joe Gabbard of Springdale; two sisters Ernestine Hankins of Gravette and Jane Wist of St. Charles, Missouri and a brother Coy Massie of Auburn, Washington.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Springdale Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Visitation will be held 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Moore’s Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday at Moore’s Chapel followed by burial at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
