Leon Fowler's Obituary
Leon Fowler, age 76, of Fayetteville, died Friday, March l7, 2017 in Fayetteville. He was born December 10, 1940 in Huntsville, Arkansas the son of Clark and Edith Ogden Fowler. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Charolette: a brother, Leonard Fowler and a brother-in-law Preston Garrett. He was retired co-owner of McRoy McNair and a member of Mount Comfort Church of Christ in Fayetteville. He was a 1958 graduate of Huntsville High School and attended the University of Arkansas. He was past president of the Exchange Club and an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Razorbacks. His hero as a teenager was the great “Stan the Man” Musial. He is survived by two sons, Clark Fowler of Atlanta, Georgia and Michael Fowler of Tampa, Florida and two sisters, Geneva Mowery and her husband Mr. A. C. Mowery of Springdale and Joyce Garrett of Rogers. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Mount Comfort Church of Christ. Burial will be at Son’s Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
