Leroy E. Anderson's Obituary
Leroy E. Anderson, 85 of West Fork, Arkansas went home to be with His Lord on Friday, April 28, 2006. He was born March 28, 1921 in Bayport, Minnesota to Louis and Josephine Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his 1st wife Irene Anderson and his wife Anna Jo Anderson, his mother and father, two brothers; Lawrence and Raymond and one sister Viola.
Survivors include one sister Adeline Barker of Dodge Center, Minnesota, two nieces Cheryl Stowers, Wanda Flattum, a nephew Keith Barker, stepdaughters Debra Belden, Von Caldwell, Donna Rehard and two stepson Harry Locke, Gordon Gale, ten grandchildren
Leroy spent three years in the United States Army. He was discharged in 1945 as a Master Sergeant. He retired from the State of Minnesota in 1983 after thirty years of service. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church in West Fork where he served on the Finance, Building and Grounds Committees. He was also a volunteer at the Washington Regional Medical Center.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, May 1, 2006 at the First Baptist Church of West Fork, Arkansas with Rev. Scott Miller and Chaplin Delmar D. Ferrell officiating. Burial will be at the West Fork Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Devin Coker, Bob Cooper, David Ferrell, Tracey Risley, Eddie Woods and Gary Burney.
Visitation will be 2:00 PM till 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.
