My deepest condolences to Jackie and Whitney and all of the extended family. I met Les the first day of guitar building school in Red Wing MN. He was one of those people that the instant that you met him you knew you would be friends. I remember fondly the Thanksgiving that Jackie , Whitney and Les welcomed me into their home when my family was many miles away. I had a moment during guitar construction that still makes me smile to this day. We were at the point where we were attatching our guitar backs to the sides and it is at that time that the maker traditionally signs and dates the inside of the top. Before I signed my top I was practicing my signature when Les happened to walk by, a bit embarrassed I covered up what I was doing Les said "whatcha doing there?" I said oh nothing but he said "Man you were practicing your signature weren't ya" and I said yep thats what I'm doing and he said he was just doing the same thing! we had a good laugh about that. Les will be greatly missed Rest in peace my friend
