Leslee Brosh McVey's Obituary
Leslee Brosh McVey, 47, of Springdale, AR, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025, following a courageous five-year battle with cancer. Leslee was born July 21, 1977, in Little Rock, AR, and graduated from Hall High School before earning her degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
A proud member of Delta Delta Delta, Leslee cherished the lifelong friendships she formed there. Her sisters remained a source of strength, love, and joy throughout her life, especially in her final years.
Leslee met her husband, Kevin McVey, while working for Walmart in Kansas City. They married, moved to Springdale, and built a beautiful life together, raising three children whom Leslee loved beyond measure. She encouraged their passions, cheered them on in every pursuit, and never missed an opportunity to make them feel seen and supported. She was devoted to preparing them for life—with wisdom, honesty, and immense courage—even as she prepared to say goodbye.
After their move to Northwest Arkansas, Leslee continued her career with Walmart, where she was known as a truth-teller, a woman of deep integrity, and a champion of people. She had a remarkable gift for developing talent and nurturing teams, and over the course of her two-decade career, she left a lasting mark on colleagues across the company. She was both proud and deeply committed to her work, and she leaves behind friends and associates who were all made better by knowing her.
Leslee had a brilliant mind, a laugh you couldn’t help but join, and a presence that made people feel instantly at ease. She was deeply compassionate, fiercely loyal, and the first to show up for others.
Her connection to family was at the heart of everything. With her brother and sister, Leslee shared a bond that ran deep—more like soulmates than siblings. When the Brosh crew gathered—siblings, spouses, kids, parents, and cousins—it was never just a visit, it was a celebration. Laughter, storytelling, music, and love filled the air. These were the moments Leslee lived for—the ones that felt like the time of her life.
Leslee was a devoted follower of Christ. As members of First Presbyterian Church in Springdale, she and her family found community and comfort in their walk with God. Even in her final years, Leslee faced death with the acceptance of God’s plan. In her passing, Leslee knew that she would be reunited with loved ones in Heaven, and one day, we all would meet again.
She is survived by her husband, Kevin Blake McVey; their children, Blake Patric McVey, Reese Marian McVey, and Kinslee Ann McVey; her parents, Charles Patric Brosh and Terrye Lynn Schultz Brosh; her siblings, Brittany Brosh Adair (Steve) and Christopher Patric Brosh (Megan); her nieces and nephews, Sydney Adair, Britton Adair, Bradford Brosh, Maxine Brosh, Julia McVey, Gabie McVey, Bella McVey, and Myla McVey; and her in-laws, Patty and Gary White. Preceded in death by her Grandparents, Happ and Bettye Schultz of Fort Smith and Charles and Ruth Brosh of Newport.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 12, from 5–7 p.m. at Nelson Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. A service honoring Leslee’s life will take place Tuesday, May 13, at 10:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Springdale, with burial to follow at Elm Springs Cemetery.
