Leta Mae McClelland Henson's Obituary
Leta Mae McClelland Henson, 88, of Claremore, OK, passed away peacefully at her home, on June 14, 2023. Spending most of her life in northwest Arkansas, Leta was born on July 27, 1934, in Bentonville, AR to the late Benny Arthur and Grace McClelland. Leta loved spending time with family and her beloved dog Peaches. Her favorite pastime was watching hummingbirds and being one with nature.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Strain Cemetery, 12169-11801 Co Rd 51, Fayetteville, AR 72701. Visitation will be 4:00-5:00 PM on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Moore’s Chapel Funeral Home in Fayetteville, AR.
Leta is survived by her children; Jacquetta Lynn Eimer of Claremore, OK, Ricky Lee Daniel of Augusta, AR, John Arthur and Dejuana Daniel of Chelsea, OK, Michelle, daughter-in-law Sue Daniel of Fayetteville, AR and son-in-law William Henson of Farmington, AR – grandchildren; Mike Upshaw, Carl “Bug” Upshaw, Kim Upshaw-Morgan, Shonda Guess, Catina Pickle, Wesley Henson, Jennifer Fisher, Travis Daniel, Heath Daniel, Kevin Daniel, Jeremy Daniel, Eric Daniel, Asher Daniel, Tiffany Chadwell, Jeffery Daniel, Anna Mayen, Seth Murray and Luke Murray – 28 great grandchildren – 6 Great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents, Leta was preceded in death by her children; Sheran Henson, Don Daniel, Billy Daniel, Bobby Daniel, Ronald Daniel, and daughter-in-law Dena Daniel – sisters; Evelynn “Dean” Daniels, and Helen Sturdivant – grandchildren; Audra Daniel, and Angela Daniel.
