Linda Marie Dilley's Obituary
Linda Marie Dilley. age 70, passed away Monday, June 17 surrounded by her children, grandchildren and close friends. Linda was born March 15, 1954, in Gadsden, Alabama and in less than a year moved to Michigan where she grew up in a loving (Norman Rockwell) family. She graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1972.
Linda later moved from Michigan and migrated to northwest Arkansas where she adopted 3 children. Her love for service and children brought her to serve faithfully for 30 years at First Baptist Church of Fayetteville. She worked in multiple roles in the church, serving the last 20 years as the preschool coordinator along with working as a teacher at the Play Learn Preschool, where she was loved by all.
Linda’s kind spirit and loving demeaner made her a joy to be around as she left her fingerprint on those around her. She loved being called “Miss Linda.”
Linda is proceeded in death by her father George L. Drain Sr.
She is survived by her mother, Reba Drain; three brothers, George Drain (Suzanne), David Drain (Lisa), and Stephen Drain (Kim); three children, Terry Hollister, Jennifer Shepard, Jeremiah Dilley; six grandchildren, McKeehan Dilley, Zoe Dilley, Stricklyn Dilley, Graycin Shepard, Baylee Shepard, Jairus Shepard; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 9:00-11:00 followed by a funeral service at 11:00 at First Baptist Church of Fayetteville, June 22, 2024.
