Linda Jeanne Freeman's Obituary
It is with deep sadness that the family of Linda Jeanne Freeman, age 77, announces her peaceful passing on January 17, 2026. She was born May 14, 1948, in Keokuk, Iowa to Dale and Jeanne Dunham Campbell. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Ron Campbell and Jan Campbell.
Linda was a dedicated science teacher for Oakdale Junior High and later, Lingle Middle School. She embraced the spirited determination God gave her and turned it into a gift for her students. Linda loved the lake and spent countless times with family and friends there. She took great joy in her travels with her husband, and she never passed up an opportunity to go on a trip with her girlfriends. She loved her church community and gave generously of her time and talents serving and volunteering. Most of all, she selflessly loved her kids and grandkids and spent as much time as possible cheering them on in life. Linda’s spirit lives on in her unconditional love, her sense of humor and the remarkable strength and tenacity with which she lived her life.
She is survived by her husband Harold Freeman; her two children and spouses Chad and Rachel Hatfield and Christa and Brian Means; her grandchildren Hunter Means and spouse Jordan, Jackson Means, Maya Hatfield and Logan Hatfield; her great grandson Hendrix Meansand her sister Lori Moore.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Friday January 30, 2026, in the chapel at First Presbyterian Church in Bentonville with Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. There will be a small reception afterwards. A burial will follow at Pinnacle Memorial Gardens in Rogers.
