Our Girl Scout trips were the first things that came to mind. From camping out in the lodges to Kiwani- especially Kiwani and the muddy gullies- to our trips (like St.Louis!)
- Driving to and from in her minivan.
- She taught me how to cooking taco meat in a hanging cast iron pot over the fire in the fireplace. And omelettes over a bunson burner with a buddy kit.
- Singing songs around the campfire- Kumbaya my Lord 💕
-Taking a night hike once- she taught me how to tie my hair up CORRECTLY in a bandana to keep the ticks out)
- And campfire s’mores!
-At Kiwani once, I remember her telling us we were cold because we needed to take a shower… it would help us get warmer if we were clean and a fresh layer of clothes.
AND remember our St.Louis trip!!! Night 1 we slept on the floor at the Girl Scout headquarters office. 😂 Night 2 we were at the Yogi Bear campground lodges… after a day (that included sandwiches from a cooler) at Six Flags!!!! Oh just thinking about her laugh that whole weekend! I don’t know who had more fun sometimes- her or us. ❤️
And I remember the sleepover at y’all’s house, Allison, where we did the tye-die t-shirts?! I’d never seen tye-die done. I remember thinking she was a scientist (I didn’t know she was a nurse until later lol). She was so smart! I still use her process when I tye-dye with Sadie.
I definitely remember her telling me about how she helped a lady give birth by laying on her tummy and pushing the baby out!! Lol when I gave birth, I asked my coach in class if they could do that for me (haha) 😂😂😂
She will be missed terribly in this world. How lucky we were to have had her in our life! My heart breaks for you- know how much we’ve always loved you (and her)!! My deepest thoughts and prayers have been with you, Allison & family/friends, all month and will continue.
