Linda Lou Thomas' Obituary
Linda Easley Thomas, of Fayetteville, died after a brief illness on Sunday December 7th, 2025. Linda was born in Elkins Arkansas on February 2, 1946 to John and Florence Easley. She married Garland Thomas of Mena Arkansas September 24, 1966. They were married almost 59 years. Garland and Linda and their daughters lived in Denison Tx. Most of Linda’s career was with JCPenny’s, working in several locations in management and accounting. Linda was an artist and at one point owned her own craft store in Denison called Calico Crafts where she sold craft supplies and taught painting classes. Her later career was in payroll services for Wal-Mart headquarters in Bentonville.
Linda loved the Lord and attended Calvary Baptist Church, Fayetteville. Linda spent many happy hours creating crafts with her girls and the grandchildren, making things to sell online and helping to decorate for events at church. She loved to go antique mall shopping, any chance to shop for flowers and road trips with Garland to the beach and Nachez Mississippi. She especially loved the fresh shrimp.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, John Easley and Florence Bray Doss, and her husband Garland Thomas. Linda is survived by daughter Poppy Nye (Brian) and their children Lanie of Huntsville Tx, and Kody Nye (Katrina, unborn first grand baby) Cibolo Tx, and daughter Sasha Thomas of Garland Tx and her daughter Vanessa Thomas (Brynn) of Plano Tx. She is also survived by her beloved Easley cousins Janet, Sandra and Carolyn, her nephew Tom Thomas of Dallas Tx, cousins Dolores Snider (Randy) of Victoria Tx and Joseph (Janet) Guido of Fayetteville.
Linda loved her girls, her grandkids and the Razorbacks. She loved her church family a lot and ya’ll really meant a lot to her.
Visitation will be Monday, December 15th, at 9:00AM, at Calvary Baptist Church in Fayetteville, with Funeral service at 10:00AM. Graveside service will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
