Lloyd Thomas Jones Jr.'s Obituary
Lloyd Thomas Jones Jr. passed away on March 29, 2024, in Rogers, Arkansas, surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 26, 1964, in Savannah, Georgia, to the late Lloyd and Mildred Jones Sr., Lloyd was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Aaron Thomas. Lloyd is survived by his devoted wife of 27 years, Kathy Jones, his children Morgan Engstrom and her husband Jason of Bella Vista, Lauren Escobar of Rogers, and Caroline Jones of Russellville, as well as five beloved grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Kay McDoniel and husband Mike, and a host of extended family and friends who will deeply miss him.
Lloyd's life was characterized by his passion for golf, his love for the great outdoors through fishing and camping, and his adventurous spirit for travel, particularly to Colorado and the beach. He graduated from Bentonville High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Finance from Arkansas Tech University, where he was a proud member of Lambda Chi fraternity. Lloyd was a faithful member of Central United Methodist Church, where he found solace and community. Lloyd worked as a banker in Northwest Arkansas for many years before retiring in 2019.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Central United Methodist Church of Rogers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Lloyd's memory.
