Lloyd D. Sweat Jr.'s Obituary
Lloyd Dale Sweat Jr., age 85, of Fayetteville passed away Sunday March 5, 2023. He was born December 5, 1937 in Tupelo, Arkansas to Lloyd and Geneva Hardin Sweat. He served in the National Guard during the Little Rock Nine at Central High School. He loved coaching Little League Baseball. He had a long career as a John Deere manager. In his later years Lloyd enjoyed working in his yard, walking, and taking care of his dogs.
He is survived by his wife of sixty four years, Diana Sweat; three sons, Scott Sweat of Canton, Texas, Todd Sweat and his wife Carol of Tontitown, Arkansas, Jeremy Sweat and his wife Barbie of Rogers, Arkansas; one sister, Gail Menkemeller of Denton, Texas; one brother, Gene Sweat and his wife Cindy of Newport, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Trent Sweat, Natali Sweat, Hunter Sweat and his wife Megan, Tyler Sweat, Grant Sweat, Colby Sweat and Abby Sweat and three great grandchildren, Cash, Stevie and Nellie.
Visitation will be 10:00 am – 11:00 am Thursday March 9, 2023 at Moore’s Chapel. Memorial service will be 11:00 am Thursday at Moore’s Chapel with the burial of ashes to take place at 12:30 pm at the Fayetteville National Cemetery with military honors.
