Loren L. Snider's Obituary
Loren Snider, born March 17, 1928, in Liberal, KS to Fred and Velma Snider, passed on to heaven October 18, 2021. Loren lived a full and blessed life of 93 years, 73 of those married to the love of his life, Virginia. He attended Pratt Junior College where he played basketball. Loren spent decades of service to Southwestern Bell Telephone and after retirement started his own sharpening business. Loren was known for his uncanny ability to fix anything broken, making anything out of wood you could dream up and fixing brisket that could rival any of the KC BBQ restaurants. Even though Loren was a man of few words he was always able to make you laugh and smile with his wit and kind personality. He left a legacy of prioritizing his faith in Jesus, his love for friends and family and his desire to serve others. Loren was preceded in death by his brother Leo, and sisters Wilma and Noveta, his daughter, Debbie and grandson, Jason. He was the father of Gary (and Kristi) Snider and Debbie (and Tom) Perry, each who had wonderful families. He lived to have great memories with his grandkids, Jason Snider, Jennifer Snider, and Tisha (and John) Patton. While Overland Park, KS was his home, he spent his final years in Fayetteville, AR near family and his great-grandchildren, Tozer, Titus, and Truitt Patton. Loren will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The immediate family will have a small gathering on Sat. Oct. 23 to celebrate Loren’s life and remember all the joy he brought us. Condolences can be sent to Virginia Snider, 4461 N. Crossover, Apt 224, Fayetteville, AR 72703.
