Lorna Deane James' Obituary
Lorna Deane James, age 86, of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013 at her home. She was born February 2, 1927 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Otey and Pollie Miller.
Lorna was an avid reader, competitive bridge player, good friend, caring mother and a loving wife. Quick with a smile and beautiful eyes, witty and bright, she will be missed. Lorna left this world the way she wanted, at home surrounded by her family. Her devotion in the Catholic Church always brought her comfort and peace.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Frank James; four daughters, Michele James of Fayetteville, Cathleen James of Fayetteville, Tamera Rowland of Springdale and Tracy Troxell of Bartlesville, OK; three sons, Ronald Pennington of Fayetteville, Alan Wilson of Canberra, Australia and Robert James of Fayetteville; two brothers, Jim Miller of Arizona and Aubrey Miller of California; one sister, Dona Hart of Florida; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Moore’s Chapel and visitation will follow until 8:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville and burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
