Louis Tognoli's Obituary
Louis Tognoli of Park Ridge, New Jersey and Fayetteville, Arkansas passed away reluctantly Thursday. One of five children, Louie was predeceased by his all of his siblings, his wife Ruth, his daughter Joan Ruth Seiz and his son in law Paul Seiz. Louie was a builder by trade, constructing schools, churches, and many other landmarks throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Florida. He traveled the world with his wife and his daughter. While in Fayetteville, Louie took great joy in spending time with his friends at the mall. His secret to longevity? He would say there was none, but for those of us privileged to watch him journey through different stages of his life, we say that it was his ability to adjust and always stay engaged in life’s new adventures, be it new technology, arguing over politics and religion, avidly watching sports, baking bread, face timing with his grandson, and driving into his 106th year.
Louie was a man of many generations. His unique perspective on life was as pure as the time when he was born. His character was shaped by an era when there were no cars, no phones, no electricity, no television. He created with his hands, his word was his bond, and his handshake was his guarantee. For those of us blessed to have known him, he made sure we knew what is really important in life.
We all thought Louie would live forever. And this he will do, in heaven and in our hearts.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
Cremation arrangements provided by Nelson-Berna Funeral Home & Crematory of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
