Louise Nell Evans Crawford's Obituary
Louise Nell Evans Crawford, age 94, went to be with Jesus on Dec 28, 2020 in Springdale, AR. She was born on Jan 15, 1926 in Little Rock, AR to William Walter “WW” and Penelope “Nellie” Jane (Hamlett) Evans. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 33 years, Isom Lawrence Crawford, Sr.; her parents; her maternal grandparents, George Talmadge “GT” and Josephine “Josie” (Key) Hamlett; paternal grandparents, Nicholas Eli and Sarah Ann Delia (Still) Evens; and siblings, Olivia Pauline “Polly” Evans Ming, James Alvin Evans, Roy Nicholas Evans, and William Woodrow Evans.
She is survived by her children, Isom Lawrence Crawford, Jr. (Debbie) of Siloam Springs, AR; Jane Ann Crawford-Stevens (Mark) of Bethel Heights, AR; and Roger Timothy Crawford (Evan) of Springdale, AR; grandchildren, Gavyn Crawford and Kaitlyn Crawford; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She graduated from Daniel Webster High School of Tulsa, OK in 1945, and worked for Bell Telephone during high school. After graduation, she completed her business degree at Draughon’s Business College in Tulsa, OK and went on to work for Alexander Drug Company (later McKesson) for 10 years until her son, Isom Jr. was born. She spent the rest of her professional years as a homemaker and managing books for her husband in the lumber and hardware business.
A resident of Northwest Arkansas since 1971, she enjoyed visiting with friends and family, fishing, genealogy, coffee, making people laugh, and being the best mom ever. She was kind to all and always had a beautiful smile for everyone she met. Her favorite phrases for those she loved most were: “Don't forget to be good to yourself” and “I love you, a bushel and a peck, and a hug around the neck.”
Visitation will be held 10:00AM – 7:00PM, Thursday Jan 7, 2021 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home (formerly Stockdale-Moody), 2898 W. Walnut St, Rogers, AR. Funeral Services will be held 10:00AM, Saturday, Jan 9, 2021 at Fellowship Bible Church, 1051 W. Pleasant Grove Rd, Rogers, AR, followed by a private interment service at Bentonville Cemetery in Bentonville, AR. Out of respect for our loved ones, the family requests that you comply with all COVID guidelines when attending.
