Louise Helen Hassel's Obituary
Louise Helen Hassel, 101, of Fayetteville, died Sunday,, June 17, 2012 in Fayetteville.
She was born May 31, 1911 in Ashton, Nebraska, the daughter of Edward and Josephine Polski Jamrog. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Hassel and a brother, Norbert Jamrog.
Louise Jamrog and Lester Hassel married on May 12, 1930 in Ashton, Nebraska and spent most of their married life in Denver, Colorado before Lester’s retirement in 1965. At that time they moved to Mexico City for Lester’s volunteer work in accounting. After seven years in Mexico City, they established homes in New Port Richey, Florida and Vassalboro, Maine. In 1997 they moved to Butterfield Trail Village in Fayetteville.
Louise greatly appreciated the loving care and support of Butterfield Trail Village Health Care Center, where she resided from 2004 until her death.
She is survived by a son, Jon Hassel and his wife Jackie of Fayetteville; two daughters, Linda Reed and her husband Jack of Golden, Colorado and Susan Bouchard of Vassalboro, Maine; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Moore’s Chapel. A memorial service will be announced for a later date.
