I met Louise the summer of 1998 when I was hired as a Third Grade teacher at Root. Louise called me and asked if I wanted to attend a summer workshop together. As a result, I got to know her before school started. She welcomed me and shared her expertise and made my transition seamless.
I have many happy and sad memories of our time together. I remember how much she loved her students and family!
She was loyal, loving, and kind.
I recently spoke with one of her former students. She told me Mrs. Sager was her favorite teacher. She also recalled Louise's beautiful red nails and her gentle voice. I'm sure she touched countless lives.

I joined Mrs. Sager‘s third grade class a few months into the school year. I was younger than the other students and quite nervous. I remember that she was so kind and welcoming and set me up for success the rest of the year. What a gift she was to so many students– – I’m really grateful for her service as a teacher.
