Karen Armstrong
Lucille will always be a part of our family and we will remember her always.
I can still hear Burdett asking where's the best "Cooker" as he called Lucille. The parents would always ask for recipes of Lucille' s dishes she made for the kiddos at the daycare because they would only eat it if Miss Cille made it. She would give it to the parents and before long here they would come saying the kiddos wouldn't eat it because it didn't taste like Miss Cille's.
She never came to visit without bringing fresh baked bread, cinnamon rolls, or one of her custard pies (all without comparison). She even made little loaves of bread for my granddaughter.
She was always kind and thoughtful. One of the volunteer ladies from the daycare went to live in a nursing home and had no family to visit her so Lucille would take some of her own time to go visit.
She was so proud of her family and I saw every picture and heard all the news about every one of you. May your hearts be filled by the wonderful memories of your Mom, Grandma Cille, or Oma.
We loved her like the family she was.
