Dr. Luther David Andrews' Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dr. Luther David Andrews, age 100, of Fayetteville on Friday May 24, 2024 in Rogers.
David was born October 25, 1923 in Rogers, Arkansas to Mark and Dovie (Vann) Andrews. He served in the U.S. Airforce and Air Force Reserves. Following his active-duty service, David returned to the University of Arkansas where he became of Professor in Poultry Science after earning his PhD and spent his career teaching at the U of A and his research left and indelible mark on the field of poultry science until his retirement in 1995.
David and his wife Betty were esteemed members of Christian Life Cathedral in Fayetteville since 1985. Their unwavering love for the Lord stood as the bedrock of their lives and marriage. He was preceded in death by his wife, of 64 years, Betty in 2019.
He is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Fedosky and her husband Edward of Madison, Wisconsin; one son, Michael Andrews and his husband Dustin House of Fayetteville; one brother, Joe Andrews of Mobile, Alabama; six grandchildren, Christopher Fedosky, Benjamin Fedosky and his wife Kyle Kate, Andrew Fedosky, Charis Fedosky, Selah Fedosky and Shandra Gloe and three great grandchildren.
Graveside services to honor David’s life will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday May 29, 2024 at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
