Lydia Mae Couch Dunaway's Obituary
Lydia Mae Couch Dunaway, age 91, of Elkins, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on September 6, 2013. She was born April 26, 1922 at Pinnacle, Arkansas to Roy and Vassie Couch.
Lydia worked in the ship yards during World War II. She was a homemaker and a caregiver.
She is preceded in death by three brothers, Roy, John, and Oscar Couch; and three sisters, Elizabeth Fields, Ruth Cook, and Mary Mashburn.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Oscar Dunaway, four children, daughters, Alma Turner, Imogene Moppin and husband Darrell, Joyce Smith and husband James, and son Darrell Dunaway and wife Cheryl. She was also blessed with 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 9, 2013 at Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Richland Baptist Church, Elkins, Arkansas followed by burial at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Moore’s Chapel, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
