Lyle Orben Kirkwood's Obituary
Lyle Orben Kirkwood, age 88, of Fayetteville passed away Monday April 6, 2026. He was born August 29, 1937 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to George and Bonita Barkshire Kirkwood. He was preceded in death by his son, Shawn Kirkwood. He served in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, M. Carlene Kirkwood; three sons, Craig O. Kirkwood of Fayetteville, Kelly C. Kirkwood of Payson, Utah and Scott M. Kirkwood of Edwards, Colorado; one sister, Telitha Day and six grandchildren.
Interment of ashes will be 2:30 PM Thursday April 16, 2026 in the Fayetteville National Cemetery with military honors. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
