Gary Ratkiewicz
When Lyle ran the Peru Mall, my Mom worked for him as the assistant mall manager. I had the privilege of getting to know him both personally and professionally. He was an amazingly positive person who graciously shared a lot of wisdom as I started my professional career.
He once gave me a gift of a sign that had the phrase, "Illegitimi non carborundum" which he said meant "don't let the b****** wear you down." That sign has been with me over the last 40 years and always bring a smile when I look at it.
Lyle and his family are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
