Lynetta Jo Buescher's Obituary
Lynetta Jo Buescher, age 80, of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023.
Jo was born March 6, 1943, in Vincennes, Indiana to Clyde and Dorothy (Welton) Conrad. She was the youngest child of five siblings, brought up as a true “Coal Miner’s Daughter” where she grew up on the right side (literally) of the tracks. Both her Mom and Dad taught her the value of hard work, but it was Dorothy who instilled in her the value of family and perseverance, overcoming life challenges, and never giving up.
She was a lifelong Methodist and worshiped at First United Methodist Church in Springdale. Her faith was rooted in knowing God’s love and it was always present in her commitment to friends and family. If you ever met Jo, you would know where you stand but also that you were loved, unconditionally. She had a great spirit and loving soul, loved to laugh, quick to forgive, and always had hope.
Jo is survived by her significant other, Phil Woods; one daughter, Natalie Lindsey and her husband Matthew of Springdale, Arkansas; one son, Wayne Buescher, and his wife Rosa of Fayetteville; sister, Sue Bell of Indianapolis, Indiana; two brothers, Frankie Welton of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Steve Conrad of Terra Haute, Indiana, and four grandchildren.
She was a great Mom, MiMi, and friend, whether as a single parent raising two young children, cooking Sunday dinners for their families, going to countless baseball games or dance events with the grandchildren, or connecting with friends, she gave all of her love.
Jo left her mark on life because she made a difference in other people's lives. She was an accomplished card player and loved to win, she had a keen eye for antiques and knew how to turn a silk purse out of a sow’s ear and she could make lasagna and a roast like nobody else. We will miss Jo dancing at the Elks, daily talks with family, watching Price Is Right and Lifetime, yard-selling on Saturday’s and rooting on the Hogs, but her legacy lives on in our lives and our love.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville.
We will be holding a Celebration of Life for Jo at the Elks Lodge on Thursday, June 29th, from 2 to 4 pm and would like to invite friends and family to join us.
