Lytle Grey Caton's Obituary
Lytle Grey Caton, age 95, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022, in Rogers, Arkansas. He was born December 28, 1926, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to the late Oscar and Oma (Bell) Caton. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Georgia Caton; his second wife, Myrah Caton, his daughters Janie Doss, and Laurie Drissell; and brother, Paul Caton.
Lytle served our county in the United States Navy. He served active duty in WWII and the Korean War. He worked for the United States Postal Service for 30 years. Lytle was a jack-of-all-trades and especially enjoyed woodworking in his shop. He even built a boat in his younger years and enjoyed the cabin he built on Lake Tenkiller. He loved to travel all around the US with his family and friends and shared his faith and the Word of God at every opportunity. He was gifted with a wit and sarcasm that made him fun to be around. He lived his life for God and service.
Lytle is survived by his children, Karen Hinton of Melbourne, Florida; Randy Caton and his wife Patricia of Garland, Texas; Debbie Paul and husband Mike of Lowell, Arkansas; Lisa Pickard and husband David of Rogers, Arkansas; grandchildren, Jeff Caton and his wife Natalie; Elizabeth Bowen and her husband Brian; Kady Mingle and her husband Cory; Melanie Miller; Glen Mosley; Alex Doss; Michael Paul and his wife Wendy; Stephanie Braswell and husband Joel; Jennifer Paul; Timothy Paul; Christopher Pickard and his wife Amy; Andy Garmon and his wife Ansley; Katie Head and her husband Ben; Steven Garmon and his wife Alexandra; 19 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home of Rogers. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held at Fayetteville National Cemetery at 1:30 PM.
