Mack Millard Graves' Obituary
Mack Millard Graves, age 81, of Fayetteville died Friday July 26, 2019 in Fayetteville. He was born June 15, 1938 at El Dorado, Arkansas, the son of Buster and Ethel Webb Graves. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
He served 31 years in the United States Army, retiring as a Command Sergeant Major. He served three tours in Korea, one tour in Vietnam and one in Germany. He was Military Advisor to the National Guard for the state of Indiana, 306th Civil Affairs Battalion- Fayetteville, Arkansas ROTC Instructor for the University of Arkansas and School of Mines (University of Missouri) Post Command Sgt. Major at Ft. Chaffee. He received a Bronze Star Medal with V in Vietnam, Meritorious Service Medal and Bronze Star in Korea.
He was a member of Eastside Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Jeannie Graves; a daughter Theresa Kim Anderson and her husband Greg of Heber Springs, Arkansas; two grandchildren Geoffrey Anderson and wife Pamela of Canton, Georgia and Nikki Anderson of Heber Springs and one great-granddaughter Julia and soon to be born great-grandson Maverick Mack and two sisters and one brother.
Memorial Service will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday July 31, 2019 at the Eastside Missionary Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Fayetteville National Cemetery with full Military Honors.
Cremation under the direction of Moore’s Chapel
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastside Missionary Baptist Church, 325 S. Crossover Road, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72701.
