Madeline Carol Johnson's Obituary
Madeline Carol Johnson was born March 20, 1946. She departed this life on June 17, 2025. Carol was a lifelong resident of Fayetteville. She was a kind-hearted compassionate woman who loved daily walks along Fayetteville’s nature trails. She was thrilled to encounter deer and other wild creatures on those walks. Carol was an avid Razorback fan. She faithfully attended all home football games. She truly loved her Hogs and kept up with all the latest sports news via radio and television. Carol had participated in organized softball from early childhood to middle age. She was athletic and very competitive.
She attended Central United Methodist Church from 1946 to 2023. Since 2023, Carol had been a member of Christ Church in Fayetteville. She retired from the Housing Department at the University of Arkansas.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Madeline Hill, and her twin sister Beverly Kay Hill all of Fayetteville.
She is survived by her brother, Tommy (Carolyn) Hill of Waldron, Arkansas. Also surviving are five nephews: Roy (Kim) Hill of Grinnell, Iowa, Wade (Shannon) Hill of Green Forest, Arkansas, Michael and Patrick Hill both of Arkansas, and Scott Hill of Fayetteville.
Carol was very proud of her great nieces and nephews: Emma (Walter) Gilstrap, Jake Hill, LoraGrace Hill, Brody Hill, Sheperd Hill, Isaac Hill, Grayce Hill, Owen Hill, and Tipper Hill.
Arrangements are by Moore’s Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Monday July 14, 2025 at Prairie Grove Cemetery.
