Madie Louise Spence's Obituary
Madie Louise Spence, age 84, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away on September 24, 2025, at Willard Walker Hospice Home. She was born on June 4, 1941, in Cabool, Missouri, to Wilburn Dean and Johnsie Marie (Gillette) Dean. Madie married Richard Spence on September 30, 1994, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She worked for over 39 years at Campbell Soup Company in Fayetteville. Madie was a member of Mercy and Grace Cathedral in Springdale, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Stanley McGehee, Randy McGehee, and Johnny McGehee; one daughter, Kathy McCool; two grandchildren, Mandy M. Kilpatrick and Michelle L. Hickman; sister, Sharon Augustine; and brother, Garrett Dean.
Madie is survived by her husband, Richard Spence; daughter, Gloria Rogers and husband Ben of Lincoln, Arkansas; sister, Madelyn Cardin and husband Herman; brother, Charles Dean and wife Anna; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 29, 2025, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
