Life Legacy
Maggie C (McKenzie) Fox, age 91, of West Fork, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016. She was born on November 21, 1925, in Winslow, Arkansas, to Oliver and Ethel Rose McKenzie. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alvis Lee Fox; and her two sisters, Mary Reed and Sarah Patrick. Maggie retired from the University of Arkansas after a thirty-two year career working in the food service department. She was an excellent cook and was known for her gardening skills and growing beautiful flowers. She is survived by her daughter, Doris Owens and husband Verlon of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; her two sons, Lyndle Lee Fox and wife Carolyn of West Fork, and Donald Fox and wife Shirley of West Fork; two sisters, Ellen Phillips and husband Donnie, and Violet Phillips and husband Leon, both of Greenland; five grandchildren, John Owens, Megan Wootton, Brandon Fox, Jerald Owens, and Alicia Evertt; nine great-grandchildren; 2 step great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00AM on Friday, December 23, 2016, at Moore’s Chapel Funeral Home in Fayetteville. The funeral service will be held at 11:00AM at Moore’s Chapel with interment to follow at West Fork Cemetery.
