Marion Paul Crider's Obituary
Marion Paul Crider, age 80, of West Fork, Arkansas, passed away on Friday morning, June 12, 2026.
Marion is survived by Carolyn, his devoted wife of 59 years, his older brother, Michael Don Crider and wife Barbara, of Tontitown, Arkansas; his oldest son, Matthew Lane Crider and his wife Stacy, of West Fork; and his youngest son, Marcus Marion Crider and his wife Christy, of Nashville, Tennessee. Marion is also survived by four grandchildren: William Cole Crider, Emma Faye Crider, Lydia Tosh Crider, and Tuck Henry Crider; two nephews: Clayton Scott Crider and his wife Morgan, and John Paul Crider and his wife Kiki. Marion is also survived by Tuff, a cat he and Carolyn rescued and have doted on for the last 12 years who will miss Marion’s lap and conversation. He is also survived by a fleet of zero turn mowers, grills, tractors and tools, which we expect are in shock that they’ve been given a few days off this summer.
He is preceded in death by his parents Mitchell Henry Crider and Laura Elizabeth “Happy” Crider, his younger brother, Malcolm Frederick Crider, and his younger sister, Marla Faye Crider. Marion is also preceded in death by many loyal bird dogs who were no doubt thrilled to go for a walk with Marion after his heavenly reunion with his parents, siblings, aunts, uncles and friends.
Marion was raised in Greenland, Arkansas and graduated from Greenland High School in 1963. Carolyn captured Marion’s attention while riding her quarter horse in a pasture on her family’s farm in West Fork. They quickly captured each other’s hearts, were married on July 30,1967, and built a beautiful life together. Marion graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1969. He was a proud Razorback.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at First Christian Church, 220 N. College Avenue Fayetteville, Arkansas 72701. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the First Christian Church, 220 N. College Avenue, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72701.
