Biography
Marjorie Key, 84 of Fayetteville died Saturday, September 29, 2012 in Fayetteville. She was born May 17, 1928 in Fayetteville the daughter of Mack Wherry and Alice Nickell Springston; Step-daughter to Floyd Springston.
She was employed as a nurse’s aide with City Hospital for several years before retiring from Washington Regional Medical Center Home Health.
She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Key; 2 brothers, Jr Springston and Miles Springston both of Elkins and a grandson, Weslie Kern.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Robbie Knipe and husband, Floyd of Fayetteville, Kathy Garcia of Johnson, Darlene Kimball and husband, Jamie of Elkins; 3 sons, Rex Key and wife, Mary of Elkins, Rick Key and wife, Melanie of Belton, Texas, Mike Key of Fayetteville; brother, Carl Springston and wife Barbara of Fayetteville; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home from 5 to 7PM on Monday, October 1, 2012.
Funeral service will be 1 PM, Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Burial will be in Nickell Cemetery following the service.
