Dear Vicki and Jena,
I’m sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. It’s sorrowful to lose a parent even knowing there will be a sweet reunion in Heaven some day. My heart goes out to you.
Growing up in Winslow, I thought of your mom (both of your parents, actually) as being sophisticated, cosmopolitan, and gracious. They always treated me respectfully even when I wasn’t.
“The passing of a parent,
Through a door left softly ajar,
In the next room waiting,
For you to be where they are.”
God Bless,
Bob Donaghe
There are so many memories from camping at Devils Den, cutting wood at grandma guys, picnics at White Rock, and so much more. You were always the life of the party. I admired how you and grandad always held hands and showed your love for one another. You were a master scrabble player and made playing spoons so much fun. I’m going to miss that laugh and wink you always gave me after saying something to tease me. We will miss you dearly.
I know she was wanting to go on for a long time...she missed Jerry so much...My mom and I had many good times going to see them , play games and go out to eat....my brothers, Robbie,Randy and I would go see her....Randy loved her stories of the past. Our families spent a lot of time together gowing up...Many good memories....and yes, I will always be able to hear her laugh..She and Robbie always had jokes to tell....Glad she is with Jerry and all her friends and family gone on....Niece Patti Provence
Although we will miss you, we know you are very happy to be back with Grandad. We enjoyed the energy you always brought to our family get-togethers, admired your talent in writing and art, and appreciated having such a lively grandma and great grandma to all of us. We love you. Enjoy your rest.
We will all miss Kippie's witty sense of humor, spunk, and creative spirit. Some of my favorite memories of Kippie will always be her laughter while playing games with all of us, her willingness to spend time with me teaching me how to paint, and her joy in sharing shoes with me since we were always the same size. :) I know that she is happy to be with Grandad again in a better place. Love you, Kippie! You will be missed.
To Jena, Vickie, Jenny and all of Jackie’s family, we send our deepest condolences. So many happy memories of fun times fill with laughter with Jere and Jackie come to mind. Jackie had the best sense of humor and the most infectious laugh. She will truly be missed.
